A valid driving licence suitable for the rented vehicle category is required, along with proof of identity and current address. Payment details, including a security deposit, must be provided, and any additional conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement should be met.
Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations with Kingswood Car Hire can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Dartford office. A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally expected at the time of vehicle collection. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT, where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At Kingswood Car Hire, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection of your vehicle upon collection. Any pre-existing damage must be reported immediately. A vehicle condition report will be generated and signed by both parties to document the state of the vehicle. When returning the car, please ensure it is in the same condition as collected, aside from normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at collection; otherwise, refueling fees will apply. Late returns may incur extra charges, so please notify us in advance if you anticipate a delay. You will also be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges incurred during your rental period, in addition to an administrative fee.
5. Coverage and Responsibility
- All rentals from Kingswood include basic third-party insurance. Full details regarding coverage and excess amounts are outlined in your Rental Agreement. You may explore additional insurance options to lower your financial responsibility. Be aware that any damage or loss up to the excess amount remains your liability, except where additional insurance applies. Negligence or misuse will be your responsibility regardless of insurance status.

Cancellation and amendment policies depend on the type of booking and the notice period provided. Please check your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific information. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees, impacting your overall rental experience with Kingswood Car Hire.

Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is strictly prohibited. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or other dangerous pursuits is unacceptable. Transporting hazardous materials, sub-letting, or allowing unauthorized drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden, as is exceeding passenger or weight limits. Driving outside designated geographical areas without prior approval is also restricted.
